
Hanna Hebden, B.A., University of California, Los Angeles
Hanna Hebden entered the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at the University of New Mexico in 2021. Her primary research interests include substance use disorder recovery trajectories, harm reduction for substance use disorder, and understanding program-level implementation of interventions for substance use disorders in marginalized communities. She is also interested in how social determinants of health influence substance use disorder recovery, particularly within minoritized and marginalized individuals such as American Indian people.
Hanna graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During her time at UCLA, she worked as a research assistant in the ADHD & Development Lab studying development, origins, and consequences of externalizing disorders in children. Throughout her undergraduate years, she working as a clinical support staff team member at substance use residential treatment facilities and medical detox facilities with people in recovery from substance use disorder.
