Hanna M. Hebden (Ojibwe) entered the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at the University of New Mexico in 2021. Her research focuses on alcohol-related health disparities in American Indians, precision medicine interventions for alcohol use disorder, and psychometrics. Her work is grounded in a community-engaged research orientation and emphasizes cultural factors, context, and the value of lived experiences.

Hanna received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2020. During her time at UCLA, she worked as a research assistant in the ADHD & Development Lab studying development, origins, and consequences of externalizing disorders in children. Throughout her undergraduate years, she worked as a clinical support staff team member at substance use residential treatment facilities and medical detox facilities with people in recovery from substance use disorder.
